It’s time to share one of my favorite galleries — the Fan Family’s family portraits in Plano!
I’ve known Karen and Alex for years now! So when Karen reached out to take their family portraits, I couldn’t be more excited to help them capture sweet moments of their kids!
Since this was my first family portrait session with kids, I was a bit nervous about getting everyone’s attention. However, it turned out to be so easy and fun (especially with the help of some treats for bribery haha). The kids behaved so well and I just love the genuine interactions and emotions that they bring out in photos!
Karen described their family as happy, affectionate, silly, flawed and loving. I think these photos captured this perfectly. Noah is five years old and super playful. During the session, he loved running around and making silly faces at the camera. Emmie is just one year old and more reserved with strangers. However, once she loosened up, she was so outgoing and gave the sweetest giggles! I cannot get over how adorable she is smiling in these photos! And can we please talk about her matching leather bow and shoes??
I’m so glad that we decided to take the family portraits at Oak Hills Park & Nature Reserve in Plano. It was the most beautiful day with the best lighting scenario. Towards the end of the session, the trees in the background were giving off a nice yellow glow that made it look like fall — even though the trees were still as green as can be at the time!
If you are interested in taking family portraits in the Plano/DFW area, whether for Christmas cards, a family album, something to hang on a wall or just for memories, please let me know! I’d love to help!
