I’m so excited to share a few highlights from my photo session with Holley, Scott and their adorable puppy Sierra. We went to Arbor Hills Nature Reserve in Plano, TX to capture these paws-tively fun family pet portraits! It was the perfect location for a beautiful naturey backdrop full of different trails and grassy areas!
Holley and Scott rescued Sierra a few months ago. You can just tell from these photos how much they love her. They told me that she is likely mostly hound and a biggg girl — she was already 60 lbs at 6 months! She also has the sweetest smile and the silliest long tongue.
Sierra behaved so well the whole shoot! It was great having Holley and Scott’s friends come along and incentivize her with toys and treats behind me. They were such a big help and made it so easy to get Sierra to look at the camera. They also helped watch her when we got a few portraits of just Holley and Scott. I highly recommend bringing a friend or family member to help throughout a pet photo session!
My favorite photos from this gallery are the ones with Holley and Scott just interacting with Sierra. They’re the ones giving her cuddles and just playing with her. There’s just too many adorable moments throughout the shoot. I’m sure they got tired of me saying “so cute” every five seconds!
A few people tell me how they want to include their pets in their photos, but are scared about how they would behave. Trust me, with the help of a few toys and treats, there’s no doubt that we can get our furry friends to become well-behaved models in no time. Contact me today and I’ll give you all the tips and tricks for paw-some pet portraits!
